Zhonghai Golden Coast Seawater Water Park | Shantou, China

• Project Overview Located in Shantou City, Guangdong Province, this is China's first seawater water park that overcame the technical challenge of seawater corrosion on play equipment. Covering 645,800 square feet with an ocean theme, the park serves all age groups. Leveraging local coastal advantages, the project surged in visitors and became a popular social media check-in spot, while seawater circulation significantly reduced the client's operating costs.

Technical Challenge: Marine Corrosion The highly corrosive marine environment — including salt corrosion, temperature corrosion and oxides — posed the biggest technical challenge. Cowboy's R&D team adopted three breakthrough technologies:

• Pultrusion Molding & RTM Process: Ensures stable product quality, high strength and corrosion resistance. The RTM closed-film vacuum process uses an air-drying gel coat on the surface, ensuring wear resistance while preventing bubbling and fading during long-term submersion.

• SMC Molding Technology: Developed specifically for fasteners to maximize corrosion resistance, solving the problem of rusting under prolonged seawater immersion.

• Vinyl Ester Resin Upgrade: FRP components use vinyl ester resin instead of traditional unsaturated polyester resin, improving water and corrosion resistance by 10 times.

Six Themed Zones

• Thrilling Water Slides: 15-meter-high giant Tornado water slide and 8-meter-high racing slide as the most thrilling attractions.

• Super Water Fortress: 8-meter-high vibrant structure holding hundreds of people at once, with varying platforms concealing interactive water features, slides, climbing nets and mini funnels.

• Surfboard: Uses a special pressurization system and water jets to create a thin, even flow of water moving rapidly upwards — experience surfing without going out to sea.
  Colorful Water Village: FRP pultrusion technology replacing steel with plastic for more durable and safer play, with gentle colors and highly engaging interactive structures.

• Pirate Ship Area: Pirate ship-themed play rides that instantly transport visitors into an immersive pirate world.

• Family Combination Slides: A paradise for family fun accommodating hundreds of families simultaneously.

The entire park was completed in just four months, demonstrating Cowboy's full-chain capability from R&D and manufacturing to on-site installation under extreme timeline pressure.
