Kai Tak Sports Park Nature Playground | Hong Kong
Nature-themed outdoor playground at Kai Tak Sports Park, Hong Kong. Featuring giant rope net forest, sandpit play area and sound exploration facilities, designed for urban nature exploration.
Project Background Kai Tak Sports Park is a key urban renewal project in Hong Kong, built on the former site of Kai Tak Airport. Cowboy undertook the construction of the children's playground at Station Square, the largest urban plaza in Hong Kong, embodying the "people-oriented" design concept.
Design Concept The playground is closely tied to the theme of "nature", echoing the overall "tree-lined garden" concept of Station Square. It abandons electronic devices and returns to physical coordination and courage cultivation, promoting multidimensional ability development.
Space Planning
Giant Rope Net Forest: Magnificent rope net structure with rope bridges, climbing nets and swinging posts, providing dual challenges of courage and skill.
Sandpit Construction World: Mini sand-digging machines, rotating net and parent-child seesaw, inspiring imagination through collaborative digging.
Sound Exploration Base: Hand drums, speaking tubes and pipe chimes placed in every corner, revealing the secrets of sound for children to discover.
Project Value The playground fills the gap in low-age parent-child leisure offerings at Kai Tak Sports Park, enhances community vitality, practices green healthy living, and serves as a vivid outdoor classroom for urban nature education.
